Maple Honey Habanero Wings

When I am looking for a great appetizer or snack, chicken wings are always on my list. You can buy them everywhere, they are super easy and everyone likes them.

These chicken wings are cooked on the Asmoke Essentials Pellet Grill, which is a battery powered grill that lets you take it everywhere. If you are interested in getting one for yourself, click HERE and check it out for yourself. I have never seen a grill with this many features, for less than $400.

The Asmoke Essential Pellet Grill has 3 main features that stand out to me:

  • The ASMOKE Essential utilizes their patented ASCA (Automatic Steam Culinary Application) Technology, which allows you to cook up to 3x faster and helps to keep your meat perfectly juicy every time. The increased speed not only helps to get your food ready faster, but the quicker cook time, reduces the amount of pellets used per cook.
  • Ultra portability - the ASMOKE Essential is powered by a rechargeable battery pack, meaning you can cook with no wires and no outlets.
  • Manage your food with the 5-inch touch screen and control wheel, or through the ASMOKE App. The smart technology lets you manage your temperatures, without having to be in front of your grill, the whole time and will even notify you when the food is ready.

If you are looking for a low cost and portable Pellet Grill, check out the Asmoke Essentials Pellet Grill and see if it is right for you.

Ingredients

 Ingredients

    • 2 lbs Chicken Wings
    • Heath Riles Garlic Butter Rub
    • Heath Riles Honey Rub
    • 1/2 Cup Heath Riles Sweet BBQ Sauce
    • 1 Cup Heath Riles Maple Honey Habanero Sauce

 Method

  1. Begin by splitting the wings into the wingette, drummette and wing tips. Discard the wing tips or save them for making stock or soup.
  2. Preheat Asmoke Essentials Pellet Smoker to 250F and fill the hopper with some Asmoke Natural Wood Pellets.
  3. Season wings on all sides, beginning with a medium layer of the Garlic Butter Rub, followed by a medium layer of the Honey Rub.
  4. Once Asmoke Essentials Pellet grill is up to temperature, start on the top rack and place your wings on the grill grates. Fill the lower water pan with liquid, which will help keep the cooking chamber moist and the chicken nice and juicy.
  5. Smoke the wings for about 30 minutes, before flipping. For best results, move the wings on the bottom shelf towards the top shelf and vice versa.
  6. Smoke the wings for another 30 minutes or so, until they hit 160F.
  7. While the wings are smoking, prepare your glaze. In a large jar, mix heath Riles Sweet BBQ sauce with Heath Riles Maple honey Habanero sauce. Mix to combine.
  8. Dunk each wing in the glaze and return to the Asmoke Essentials pellet grill for about 10-15 minutes, until the wing has hit 165F internal temperature.
  9. Remove the wings from the grill and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

French Dip Sliders

There’s something primal and perfect about a French dip slider when it’s done right. Not fussy. Not dressed up with microgreens or some half-hearted aioli. Just soft buns cradling meat that practically melts on contact, rich caramelized onions that took their sweet time getting there, and bubbly, gooey cheese.
