So tasty, you'll be begging for S'more

When it comes to outdoor desserts, you cant get much more traditional than the S'more.
S'mores have been enjoyed for years, any time there is a campfire and this recipe takes that concept and expands it into a much more substantial dessert that definitely satisfies.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces chocolate
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup broken Oreo cookies
  • Mini marshmallows

Method

1. Preheat your smoker to 350 F and set a piece of your favorite smoking wood. I used Cherry, because I love the color it gives. You want to use a piece which is about half a fist sized. Depending on the kind of smoker you are using, will make a difference with your set up. For the Nomad Grill, I used ten of their amazing Charcoal logs and it sat really well at that temperature throughout the cook.

2. Mix your graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together, before pressing into a 8 inch, greased cast iron skillet. Smoke for ten minutes.

3. Bring cream to a boil, stirring constantly to ensure it doesn't burn. Place chocolate pieces in a bowl and pour over boiling cream. Let sit for five minutes before whisking together.

4. Crumble Oreo cookies over the surface of the pie mixture.

5. Smoke for about 25-30 minutes, until pie is set. Let it cool for about 20 minutes.

6. Just before serving, cover surface of pie with marshmallows and either place in smoker, or roast with a blow torch.

7. Slice and serve.
